Local Shopping Tip… a hidden gem?
Check to see if you have any local Farmers Markets in your area.
In Syracuse they have a World Class Farmers market every Saturday near the Carousel Mall.
Incredible plants for the price. Also tasty baked goods, dog/animal treats, and some very reasonable clothing vendors.
The local Farmers markets…may be a litle hidden treasure, right under your nose. See if your city/ town has one.

I wanted to find a company that would make these hair fashion choices available and affordable for all women. With help from my friend Jose Eber, we have made that possible. From this idea came my new hair products: STYLE by Jaclyn Smith.”

Great Idea: ::: In LIEU OF Wedding Favors…..
Heres an idea: instead of spending gobs of money on wedding favors, that most people admittedly, don’t have a ton of use for.. Try this
Donate the money to a local charity such as an animal rescue service or food/clothing for the poor. Your choice.
You can be sure the money will go to a good cause and the guests will be grateful as well.

Hair Spray Saver
I learned this from one of my favorite hairdressers. After styling my chin-length hair with a blow dryer and hot air brush, there is often a lot of static electricity in my hair and it won’t stay in place. Instead of loading my hair down with a lot of hair spray, I was taught this neat trick. Spray your brush with hair spray and then run it through your hair. Very little spray is added to your hair, but it calms down the flyaway look. Your can of hairspray will last a lot longer. If there is a family member who is sensitive to chemicals, this also helps by putting less fumes into the air. I do this whole process in front of the open bathroom window while the exhaust fan is running. You’d never know I’d just been in there with a can of hairspray in my

Petite Clothing Shopping Tip
My short legs prove costly as petite clothing is usually sold out and the average items go on sale. I have saved hundreds over the years in pant and skirt purchases by buying clearance in average sizes and hemming them myself with my sewing machine. Even if you don’t sew, you can use the fusible tape to hem them. Just be careful to not use a super hot dryer or the tape will let loose.

Great PANTYHOSE TIP
I am short and of average weight, but I always buy my pantyhose in Queen Size. Pantyhose are so stretchy that there’s no danger of them slipping down, and they are much more comfortable to wear when they’re not so tight. I can wear them all day without any discomfort or them falling down from being stretched so far lengthwise. The biggest bonus is that they are far less likely to run, since there\’s less tugging to pull them up. They really last a long time this way and that saves a bunch of money.

Keep JEWELRY from turning colors
Two uses for those little silica gel packages that come inside new shoes and other things you buy. Just take them and place them in with your jewelry. They keep moisture out and keep the metals from turning. Also, use these silica packets in your tool box and you will never have to buy replacement tools because of rust.

Shopping for WHITE LINEN???
Last year I began buying all white or off-white linens. I find that it is easier to find white sheets, pillowcases, and towels on sale because people seem to buy up the colored ones first. I also can go to salvage stores and find really nice “matching” linens for a fraction of the cost. Since all of my linens can be washed together, I am really enjoying how much time (and money) I am saving since I have fewer loads to wash.

Stop Tangled Necklaces..( how to).
I purchased several clear plastic fishing lure holders (the kind with the dividers). I store my necklaces in them. They are very inexpensive and I never have tangled necklace chains. Each necklace fits in its own compartment and they stack and store nicely in my bathroom drawer.

Alternative to Pantyhose?
Better Than Pantyhose
Ladies, if you wear pantyhose to work in the winter, stop wearing regular pantyhose and start wearing tights. I usually wear black or brown and that covers it all. Initially they cost a little more to buy, but three or four pairs will last the whole season!

Shopping…STOPPING impulse buying
I enjoy watching the shopping channels on television, but I found I was spending too much. I chose a secret phrase that would help me to not buy the item for at least 24 hours. My phrase is \”must have.\” Anytime a show host says that the item is a \”must have,\” I know it is not. Usually by the time 24 hours rolls around, my enthusiasm has cooled or the item sells out.

Great tip for Soft Smooth Hair
Natural Hair Care
The best homemade beauty tip that is equivalent to any expensive hair treatment is to use warmed olive oil on your hair to repair, smooth, and hydrate. Just warm the oil, massage it into your hair, and leave on half an hour before washing as normal. Makes your hair luxurious and smooth.

Cheap way to Removing Make-up
I love the convenience of the make-up remover cloths made by many skin care companies, but I don\’t love the price!
I use dollar store baby wipes. I can purchase a pack of 80 for $1. I dip one corner into a jar of cold cream, scooping out about a teaspoonful or less.
I wipe some of that over my face and use the rest on my eye make-up. Then I just toss it away. There is no need to rinse.
